Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Works closely with leadership to manage daily operations of the university childcare center, including advising and directing student employees and teaching assistants
- Plans and implements weekly lesson plans based upon the approved curriculum to meet the needs and interests of the children
- Develops center childcare and programming regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and maintain licensing and registration
- Contributes to monthly newsletters and other informative materials for families and community members on various childcare development topics
- Performs daily operations, such as delivering meals and sanitizing surfaces
- Participates in center activities and events for students and their families
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of appropriate age-level learning psychology, styles, and strategies
- Knowledge of applicable education laws, policies, and regulations
- Skill in written and verbal communication
- Skill in compiling, organizing, interpreting, and communicating data and results concisely
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple, competing tasks
- Ability to establish, build, and maintain effective working relationships
- Associate's degree in related field
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
Specialized Contributor Level 2 - A fully functional role requiring established knowledge of the profession or field of work. Responsible for completing substantive assignments and projects. Problems are varied and non-routine, and resolution requires exercising judgment, analysis, advisement, creativity, and understanding broader sets of issues. May provide assistance to entry level staff.
Additional DetailsJoin the Margaret's House Community. Work hours are either 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., as determined by the Director. A CDA credential may also be considered.
