Special Education Teacher

The Spencerport School District is currently accepting applications for a full-time special education teacher position at Spencerport High School. The role involves teaching in a self-contained 12:1:1 classroom. Required credentials include N.Y.S. teacher certification in Special Education for grades 9-12, successful prior teaching or student teaching experience, knowledge of N.Y.S. Learning Standards, and proficiency in technology. Preferred credentials include knowledge of the Committee on Special Education process and experience in writing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Experience in developing and modifying curriculum, preparing lessons, and providing specially designed instruction to meet individual student needs is also preferred. Experience in establishing and maintaining open communication with parents, students, teachers, and other relevant stakeholders is highly valued.

Salary and benefits are as per the Spencerport Teachers' Association contract, including a comprehensive benefits package.
