Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Middle
School Spanish Teacher . This is a full-time contract position.

The successful candidate can expect:

• To teach Spanish 1 to grade 8
• Teach intro to Spanish to grade 7 (every other day)
• Average class size of 22
• Curriculum plan, benchmark exams and vocab lists provided
• Access and support with teaching with technology
• Great building culture and supportive leaders.

Ideal candidates will possess New York State certification. Candidates with out-of-state certification will be considered.
Spanish speaking candidates, who don't have teaching experience but have a passion for working with adolescents are encouraged to apply. Experience teaching or working with adolescents is preferred but not required. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Education and/or have completed a teacher certification program.

Salary will be calculated based on NYS teacher certification, years of experience, and attainment of a Master's Degree.

Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is a public charter school, primarily serving students from the city of Rochester. Over 90% of our students identify as an individual of color. We are a college preparatory school and use data to determine how best to foster student growth. RACS seeks to prepare all graduates for active citizenship.
