High School Science Teacher

• Teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Sciences with a focus on inquiry-based learning and student discourse.
• Develop students' skills in questioning, data analysis, explanation, argumentation, and conducting labs.
• Create a classroom environment that encourages student voice and engagement in scientific inquiry.
• Facilitate student-led discussions, projects, and lab activities to promote critical thinking.
• Collaborate with the Science department to set academic and engagement goals.
• Analyze student work and assessments to inform instruction and differentiate learning strategies.
• Build positive relationships with students and families, and participate in professional development and team meetings.

• Strong content knowledge in STEM fields.
• Enrolled in a teacher preparation program with eligibility to meet NY certification requirements.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and receptive to feedback.

• Compensation ranges from $52,000 to $68,000.
