Qualifications:

Valid NY State School Psychologist Certification (required)
Experience working within K-12 educational settings
Proficiency in conducting initial evaluations and re-evaluations
Familiarity with MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) frameworks
Strong skills in counseling students and families
Experience administering standardized and specialized testing
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable, though not required

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive psychological services to a diverse K-12 caseload
Conduct individual initial assessments and re-evaluations to identify student needs
Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement and monitor MTSS strategies
Provide direct counseling sessions, supporting students’ academic and emotional growth
Interpret testing data and communicate findings effectively to school teams and families
Maintain accurate and timely records of all evaluations, meetings, and services provided
Serve as a valuable resource in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
