Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and small-group lessons in our busy retail lesson studio. You'll design engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and support school music programs while helping families choose the right instruments and accessories. In this student-focused, collaborative environment, you'll prepare students for concerts and auditions, participate in in-store events and recitals, and use company systems to manage schedules and lesson notes.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group music lessons for beginners through intermediate students in a retail lesson studio environment
• Develop structured lesson plans that support school music programs, recitals, and student performance goals
• Assess student skill levels, track progress, and communicate updates and practice expectations to parents and guardians
• Collaborate with store sales and school service staff to support instrument rentals, purchases, and accessories for students
• Prepare students for school performances, auditions, and ensemble participation as appropriate
• Maintain an engaging, safe, and inclusive learning environment aligned with Music & Arts' student-focused culture
• Accurately record attendance, lesson notes, and scheduling updates using company systems
• Participate in store events, recitals, and community outreach activities that promote music education
