The Family Engagement Ambassador serves as a positive connector between the school, families, and the broader community. In a culturally rich and diverse environment, this position champions the cultural wealth of families, fostering strong partnerships that enhance student success and build a sense of belonging for all. The ambassador helps in the creation and implementation of programming to promote equitable access, meaningful family engagement, and community collaboration.

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with elementary age students.
• Computer skills preferred.
• Flexibility and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as a cooperative team member.
• Positive rapport with children and the broader school community.
• Experience working with diverse families in educational or community settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with community resources and services.
• Regular on time attendance is required with the flexibility to work some evenings or weekends.

• Believes that all students can attain high levels of learning.
• Takes responsibility for learning of our students and his/her own performance.
• Possesses the knowledge and skills to build effective educational experiences that benefit all students and families.
• Functions as an effective member of the educational/school/community team.
• Won't shy away from today's educational and social challenges.
• Utilizes effective interpersonal skills.
• Has a proven track record of success.
• Works with great integrity.
