Job DescriptionRochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Math 8
Teacher in our Middle School building for a opening. We are actively seeking a dynamic and motivated member of the Middle School team.
Candidates can expect:
- Full curriculum and assessment system from Ready Classroom Mathematics
- An intevention period where the teachercan plan small group instruction
- Students to have 90 minutes of math per day, max number of students is 75
- To focus instruction around easily accessible student data
- Close knit school community, great collegues and leaders
- Opportunties for leadership
- Full benefits including New York State Teachers' Retirement
Ideal candidates will possess New York State certification. Candidates with out-of-state certification will be considered. Experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education or have completed a teacher certification program. Salary will be calculated based on NYScertification, years of experience, and completion of a Master's Degree. Base salary increase coming in the fall of 2026 for all school employees.

Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is a public charter school, primarily serving students from the city of Rochester. Over 90% of our students identify as an individual of color.
