Field Service Engineer – Rochester, NY

Field Service Engineer job hester, NY. You will maintain, install, and repair instrumentation at both internal and external customer sites, including strategic accounts. Works independently to resolve customer and technical issues, mentors less experienced staff, reports to District Service Manager, part of Field Technical Service organization covering Buffalo, NY.

• Perform high‑quality installation, repair, and maintenance on mass spectrometers, HPLC, and/or capillary electrophoresis instrumentation with solid understanding of Sciex or competitive products.
• Perform qualification services and customer training, ensuring customer satisfaction at strategic accounts.
• Complete administrative duties (logging service activities, expense reporting, inventory, etc.).
• Assist with troubleshooting and follow problem‑solving procedures.
• Follow all required safety protocols.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with LCMS and/or capillary electrophoresis; prior experience servicing mass spectrometry or scientific instrumentation.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 50% overnight travel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical requirements (stand, walk, climb, etc.).

• Problem‑solving skills.
• Electrical and electrical mechanical technology experience.
