AgTech Field Technician (May-August) - Batavia

We’re looking for an AgTech Field Technician that will support customers by collecting fruit growth data and helping growers understand and use insights to improve operations. This role involves traveling to farm locations in Lyndonville and Williamson, with some remote work reviewing and analyzing data. The position is available from May 1 – August 30, 2026.

As an AgTech Field Technician, you will work closely with our customers to provide the best possible experience by carrying out a data collection plan, assisting with the deployment of the Vivid X system in‑field, and collecting fruit growth data. You will help interpret the results for growers and advise them on how to use the data to improve their operations.

You’ll also collaborate with our data annotation and engineering teams to provide feedback and direction for improving data collection, annotation, and our overall sensor and computer vision system.

First things first: you will receive full training on our tools and technology, followed by shadowing sessions with the team.

Starting in May, you will be trained in the field and in the office on how to use the technology. You will work 8‑hour days, 5 days a week. You’ll need a driver’s license and vehicle for your time in the field, which will comprise the majority of the role. Your in‑field work will be on farms; your office days will be remote.

• A deep respect for farmers and farming, and a passion for agronomy and agriculture technology.
• An understanding of plant physiology, and related pests, diseases, and the impact of nutrient deficiencies.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Curiosity about the latest developments in artificial intelligence and hardware technology.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and try things – driving an ATV, testing mechanical components, troubleshooting technology, or working with a grower to learn more about fruit production.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment and a drive to get things done.
• Motivation to work outdoors and a target‑driven mindset.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
