We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Scheduler & Cost Controller to join our team at K&A Engineering in Rochester, New York

- Produce a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports in support of project planning and control initiatives; work closely with all functional departments to ensure policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to.
- Verify the accuracy of all cost information, including proper coding and allocation to the project budget; produce required accounting and project cost reports and forecasts; monitor deviations, under-runs and over-runs; develop progress curves and assess progress reporting; responsible for EVM during all project stages.
- Develop an Integrated Master Schedule of the project according to customer standards and approved scheduling tool.
- Develop and evaluate activities in the Integrated Project Schedule, including six-month Look-Ahead planning and critical path work with tight float; coordinate with other projects as needed.
- Prepare project sequences/logic to identify interrelationships among disciplines and third-party involvement.
- Perform Current Schedule and Cost (EV, AC) vs. PMB comparisons and highlight major deviations from the baseline based on monthly updates.
- Perform Critical Path Analysis to forecast delays and evaluate alternative scenarios; provide guidance on scheduling practices and techniques.
- Coordinate with the Scheduler-Cost Controller Group to meet portfolio planning and control goals; receive direction from Manager Planning and Control.
- Develop, maintain and reconcile project control databases and reports; coordinate with Project Managers to ensure data integrity.
- Ensure costs are accurately tracked, coded, and reported; produce regular and ad-hoc reports on deviations and cost trends.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Controlling and 4 years of experience in Construction Project Scheduling
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- CAPM or PMI-SP Certificate or equivalent (requires Avangrid approval)
- SAP experience required
- Primavera (preferred) and/or MS Project experience required
- Experience in Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro and OSG
$78,000—$99,840 annually
