Our customers manufacture industrial equipment, transportation vehicles, and infrastructure (power & fluids) systems and look to Simcona as a way to strengthen supply chains.

Pay Range:
- $75,000 - $85,000
Job Summary: An Electrical Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for helping deliver defect-free product within planned budgets and time constraints.
This position reports to the Engineering Manager and will work collaboratively with the engineering, quality, sourcing, production, operations, and management.
The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer will have and develop technical expertise in the following areas:
- Electrical and mechanical engineering
- Data analytics and artificial intelligence
- Manufacturing automation and process improvement
- Quality systems and programs
- Component and subassembly engineering
The individual assigned to this responsibility must be self-directed and must show initiative in identifying and resolving opportunities for improvement and promoting effective behaviors.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Engineering, including detailed work to create and review electrical and mechanical technical documentation
- Quality, including helping with product quality from raw materials supply to finished products. This responsibility will include helping define quality systems, document quality procedures, helping enforce quality control, and analyzing defects.
- Production, including general support, new project introductions, engineering changes, and training of production staff.
- Hands‑on, build special and complex products that are critical to the company’s success, including prototypes and 1 st article products
- Innovation, help identify and implement new methods, new equipment, and new software, to increase productivity and manufacturing capabilities
- Training, assist in training production and support staff on the skills required to work independently on the manufacture of industrial control panels.
- Continuous improvement, participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance processes and the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen Lean Methods, Six Sigma etc.
- Customer Support, including working with customer purchasing and engineering teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- Understanding industrial control systems, electrical systems design, electrical and mechanical components, and circuit design.
- Expert at reading and interpreting technical documentation including but not limited to electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, parts/components specifications, and product requirements (functional, quality, environmental, ruggedness, etc.)
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills as demonstrated in emails, all written communications, and documentation.
- Passion for quality, continuous learning, and problem solving.
- Strong interest in using automation, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and other tools of modern manufacturing
- Proactive in defining problems, finding root causes, and leading change to get the desired results
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Exhibit attention to detail
- Disciplined to contribute to and follow policies and procedures according to the company Quality Management Systems
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritize effectively
- Self‑directed, creative, and focused on continuous improvement
- Normal manufacturing conditions that require safety observation
- Light physical effort necessary to perform the job
- Working near/around moving mechanical parts
