Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – every other Friday off
This person will contribute to the company’s success by supporting PCB part design activity enabling the development of the most advanced radio communication equipment in the world for the military and first responders.
The PCB Parts Designer will effectively utilize EDA tools deployed at the company to create and improve schematic symbols and decals for Printed Circuit Board mounted electronic components utilized on PCB assemblies in new and existing products.
Essential FunctionsUtilize Siemens/Mentor PADS Designer and Layout software. Utilized AutoCAD mechanical software.
Create and maintain schematic symbols for Electrical CAD (ECAD) libraries, referencing component vendor data sheets.
Create and maintain copper pad footprints, solder mask, and solder paste patterns for ECAD library referencing component vendor data sheets, IPC standards, and internal company design guidelines.
Create and maintain ECAD footprints for use by mechanical engineering.
Ensure all requirements for fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly are met.
Review drawings and data sheets for dimensional requirements.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
