This is a full-time role for a Sprinkler Design Manager, based in Corning, NY. The Sprinkler Design Manager will oversee all aspects of sprinkler system design projects, including planning, creating detailed designs, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities include collaborating with teams to develop system layouts, preparing required documentation, coordinating with project managers and installation teams, and ensuring timely project completion.
The selected candidate will also stay updated on industry standards and foster team development for ongoing project success.
- Proficiency in designing fire sprinkler systems, system layouts, and project planning
- Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and compliance requirements, including NFPA guidelines
- Experience with design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for managing teams and working with clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET certifications) and industry experience are an advantage
