Energy Talent Search is working with an established, engineering-focused manufacturer that develops complex electronic systems used in demanding, high-performance environments.

We are seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer with strong mixed-signal experience and board-level design expertise. This role combines advanced hardware development with hands‑on production support, making it ideal for engineers who enjoy seeing their designs move from initial concept through long‑term manufacturing.

This position requires close collaboration with both design and operations teams to ensure performance optimization, component continuity, and production stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop digital and mixed-signal circuit boards
  • Perform schematic capture and support PCB layout integration
  • Select components and evaluate alternate parts when necessary
  • Support FPGA-based architectures and signal processing integration
  • Conduct power optimization and system-level performance analysis
  • Lead prototype bring‑up and hardware validation testing
  • Utilize lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues impacting production timelines
  • Support engineering change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of hands‑on digital hardware design experience
  • Experience working with FPGA-based systems
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and hardware debugging
  • Ability to analyze signal integrity and power performance
  • Comfortable supporting both development and manufacturing environments
Preferred
  • Experience with high-speed digital design
  • Exposure to ASICs, DACs, PLLs, amplifiers, and power management circuits
  • Experience supporting early‑stage prototype hardware
  • Strong cross‑functional communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary range: $110,000 – $135,000 (based on experience)

    9/80 schedule (80 hours worked over 9 days with every other Friday off)
