Description
Popli Design Group (PDG) is seeking a Team Leader for Bridge Inspection to join our growing and talented team. The role involves evaluating and documenting bridge and structural conditions, creating comprehensive condition reports, and coordinating with an Assistant Team Leader to ensure timely completion of inspections while mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and document conditions of bridges and other structures.
- Write condition reports using agency-provided software or other designated formats.
- Coordinate with an Assistant Team Leader to complete inspections and mentor junior staff.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to document bridge conditions in a clear, concise manner.
- Focus on delivering high-quality work that meets technical guidelines.
- Recent bridge inspection experience with NYSDOT, NYSTA, NYPA, NYSBA, or similar agencies.
- NYS PE license (or NJ PE license transferable between states).
- NHI Bridge Safety Inspection Course or NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Workshop.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Combination of professional office environment and field work.
- Field work requires willingness to work in various weather conditions and nature.
- Required to travel to project sites.
- Ability to perform field inspection work, including carrying/climbing ladders, wading in streams, working around traffic, and working at heights.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Salary Range$110,000 - $185,000
