Job Overview
The Customer Service Modernizations and Upgrades (CSMU) team is looking for a Mechanical Engineer. The role involves project execution on material handling system design for strategic clients.
Responsibilities- Lead and complete mechanical engineering scope for assigned modernization/retrofit projects.
- Work independently, research unknowns, and collaborate with Project Managers, Controls Engineers, and Installation resources to craft and order equipment.
- Lead technical design reviews with peers and subject matter experts.
- Build and release engineering drawings such as equipment layouts, structure and guarding configurations, pneumatic design, egress and permitting sets, etc.
- Troubleshoot equipment in the field.
- Manage project performance: timely delivery, budget adherence, quality, and risk management.
- Represent the organization as an internal contact and possibly as a key external contact.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of industry-related experience.
- Experience with material handling systems and ability to maintain and repair them.
- Proficiency in CAD design software (AutoCAD) and experience with Dematic RCD and CET Designer Software (Maestro) strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet inflexible deadlines, and maintain composure.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to customer or Dematic locations.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $88,400.00 - $ at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
