Project Scheduler & Cost Controller – Rochester, New York.

In this role, you will work on challenging projects in the energy and utility sectors, contributing as part of a dynamic, people-focused team.

• Produce a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports supporting project planning and control initiatives.
• Verify the accuracy of all cost information, ensuring proper coding and allocation to the project budget.
• Create accounting and project cost reports, including deviations, under-runs, over-runs, forecasts, and cost trend analyses.
• Review and evaluate cost trends and their impact on project costs.
• Monitor project costs, commitments to budget and forecast, and maintain change control and change order assessments.
• Assess progress measurement and develop or update progress curves for progress reporting.
• Responsible for Earned Value Management (EVM) during all project stages.
• Develop an Integrated Master Schedule in accordance with customer standards and the approved scheduling tool.
• Evaluate activities in the Integrated Project Schedule to capture work in six‑month look‑ahead increments, focusing on critical path, float constraints, and consolidation opportunities.
• Develop project sequence and logic, identifying interrelationships among activities and third‑party involvement.
• Compare current schedule and cost (EV, AC) against the performance measurement baseline, highlighting major deviations.
• Perform critical path analysis, forecast delays, and evaluate alternative scenarios to keep the project on time and within budget.
• Provide guidance to project personnel on scheduling best practices and techniques.
• Coordinate with the Manager Planning and Control and the Controller/Cost Analyst to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Controlling and 4 years of experience in Construction Project Scheduling.
• CAPM or PMI‑SP Certificate (requires Avangrid approval) or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP.
• Experience with Primavera (preferred) and/or Microsoft Project.
• Experience in Substations, T&D, Gas‑Hydro, and OSG functional areas.

$85,000 – $110,000.
