Structural Project Engineer

Passero Associates’ Rochester, NY office offers an opportunity for a Structural Project Engineer to join our Structural Department and work alongside a team of talented professionals. The role focuses on structural design and analysis for a variety of projects including K-12, commercial, municipal, institutional, and multi‑family residential across the nation.

• Develop solutions for small to mid‑scale engineering projects of low to high complexity, from existing building retrofit to new construction.
• Develop innovative design solutions and engineering production methods to enhance efficiency, quality, and production of work product.
• Analyze and design structures and structural components using structural software, while conceptualizing designs by hand before digitizing.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned projects.
• Maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct.
• Develop professional skills through professional organization involvement, project assignments, reading, formal education and seminars.
• Create structural construction drawings, specifications and reports using CAD/BIM technology.
• Provide construction administration support including project site visits and shop drawing reviews.

• BS in Civil Engineering (with a Structural Emphasis), or related degree from an ABET accredited program (master’s degree preferred).
• 4–7 years of experience in structural design.
• REVIT experience (required).
• PE license (required).
• Working knowledge of International Building Code, AISC Steel Code, ACI Code and ASCE 7 (required).
• Experience in multi‑disciplined project coordination (plus).
• Experience with RAM, RISA, ENERCALC or other structural software packages (plus).
• Familiarity with seismic design.
• Strong verbal and written communication and client‑service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Personal vehicle and valid driver’s license.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $ Annually
