Plumbing Engineer

This role is hosted by Cam Strahm. Salary: $80,000 - $150,000 per year.

• Lead design discussions and carry design concepts through to project drawings
• Design plumbing systems for construction drawings including plumbing floor plans, riser diagrams, details, schedules, and sections
• Perform plumbing-related calculations and select plumbing equipment
• Coordinate with other engineering and architectural trades during design
• Develop construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit
• Participate in developing project details, equipment schedules, and specifications
• Contribute to sustainable design discussions and implement sustainable strategies as appropriate
• Administer construction administration for plumbing scope items including conformance to contract documents and problem-solving in the field
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and work through issues with contractors
• Respond to project questions and concerns in a timely and thorough manner
• Research and assess applicable project codes, regulations, and conduct other engineering research as necessary

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing Design Certification
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working for a consulting engineering firm
• Well versed in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
