Role Description

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Senior Application Engineer to join our team in the Rochester, New York Metropolitan Area. This role involves understanding client specifications, developing concepts and pricing those concepts to provide written proposals for custom automation solutiions to Micro's clients. The effort includes working with mechanical and electrical engineering as well as Micro's mechanocal and controls technicians. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing or researching technical solutions to support our clients needs.

Occasionally visiting customers sites to get first hand views of present processes. The Senior Application Engineer will also work closely with vendors to optimize performance, and contribute to developing innovative manufacturing solutions for various industries.

Qualifications
  • Experience in Technical Support with troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues
  • Proficiency in mechanical /engineering and familiarity with relevant hardware often integrated into automation
  • Expertise in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on system design and assembly
  • Hands-on experience in Testing of systems to ensure performance and reliability
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Prior experience in industrial automation or manufacturing is an advantage
