We're hiring a Senior Environmental Engineer with a NYS PE licence to lead brownfield investigation and remediation projects across Upstate New York. This is a technical leadership role with direct client exposure, business development responsibility, and a clear path to shareholder status for strong performers.
You'll work across NYSDEC Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) and USEPA Brownfield projects including Site Characterisations, Remedial Investigations, Alternatives Analyses, and Remedial Design, serving private developers and NY State DEC contract clients.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Leading Phase II ESAs and remedial projects end-to-end
- Overseeing soil, groundwater, soil vapour, and surface water sampling programs
- Designing and evaluating remedial technologies and engineering controls
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports, scopes of work, and budgets
- Managing regulatory agency relationships (NYSDEC, USEPA)
- Mentoring junior engineers and building team capability
- Supporting business development including proposals, cost estimates, and client relationships
- 25+ years managing environmental investigation and remediation projects
- Demonstrated BCP, Phase II ESA, and remedial design experience
- NYS Professional Engineer (PE) licence, non-negotiable
- B.S. in Chemical, Environmental, or related Engineering
- Valid NYS driver's licence with clean record
- Strong communicator who can work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Base salary: $200,000 to $250,000
