The Senior Specialist, Engineering Services will support the design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic, mechanical, and software systems within aerospace and defense programs. This role involves hands-on engineering support, system validation, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Support design, documentation, and requirements management for engineering systems
- Perform system/subsystem testing, verification, and validation (V&V)
- Conduct troubleshooting and fault isolation on complex systems
- Perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics and repairs
- Execute experimental and operational testing
- Work with engineering teams to resolve technical issues
- Support configuration management (Agile CM system)
- Build and repair cables, radios, and hardware components
- Use test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, voltmeters)
- Track and manage engineering assets and hardware defects
- Support field testing and product acceptance activities
- Prepare test reports, failure analysis, and documentation
- Order and manage engineering materials and components
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 6+ years of relevant experience (or 4+ years with Master's / 10+ years without degree)
- Experience with engineering testing, troubleshooting, and validation
- Hands-on experience with electronic systems and hardware
- Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
- Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, voltmeters)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical/mechanical systems
- Experience with system-level testing and fault isolation
- Knowledge of engineering processes and documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and solve complex technical issues
- Experience with RF systems and Software Defined Radio (SDR)
- Knowledge of RF components (ASICs, PLLs, DACs, amplifiers, power systems)
- Experience with surface mount technology (SMT – 0402 scale)
- Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711/7721)
- Experience with Configuration Management tools (Agile preferred)
- Experience with failure analysis reports and test documentation
- Experience managing electronics labs or calibration systems
- Experience with procurement / P-Card purchasing
- Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Systems integration and validation
- Attention to detail and quality focus

- Process improvement and operational efficiency
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Required)
- Master's Degree (Preferred)
