HVAC Designer

Job Overview

Join our multi-disciplinary design team as an HVAC Designer, contributing to impactful commercial, residential, and institutional projects with competitive pay. This position is hosted by Cam Strahm.

$60,000 - $95,000 per year

• Draft HVAC construction drawings including details, plans, and sections
• Perform HVAC load and energy calculations
• Design HVAC systems and select appropriate equipment
• Develop construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit
• Coordinate with other engineering and architectural trades during design
• Participate in developing details, equipment schedules, and specifications
• Research and assess building performance, codes, and regulations
• Contribute to design discussions and carry concepts through to project drawings
• Support sustainable design discussions and implement sustainable strategies
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Aided Drafting
• Minimum 5 years of experience working for a consulting engineering firm
• Ability to work with minimal assistance from senior staff
• Strong AutoCAD and/or Revit experience required
• PE license not required but a plus
