- Provide environmental, health, and safety leadership and technical support at a client facility.
- Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, environmental, and company requirements.
- Manage EHS policies, procedures, permits, licenses, and required documentation.
- Provide daily EHS support to production, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
- Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, safety inspections, and hazard mitigation activities.
- Develop, implement, and improve EHS programs including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hot Work, Fall Protection.
- Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events.
- Conduct root cause analyses and determine corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver EHS training to employees, supervisors, and contractors.
- Conduct inspections and audits of plant operations, facilities, and management systems.
- BS in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related science degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant EHS experience with exposure to the manufacturing or research and development industries preferred.
- CSP preferred
- Experience conducting health and safety risk assessments and industrial hygiene monitoring.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, including CAL OSHA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting, with guidance and direction.
- Strong work ethic with a passion to learn, grow, and thrive.
- Proven experience as a Senior EHS Specialist.
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrates expertise in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) leadership, compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, and the development and implementation of EHS programs. Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, deliver training, and manage documentation effectively within manufacturing or research environments.
