GE Vernova seeks a Lead Product Safety and Compliance Engineer to own safety and regulatory compliance for advanced power and energy technologies. You will define and interpret global safety standards (UL, IEC, CE), lead hazard and risk analyses, guide design teams on compliant architectures, and coordinate product testing and certification with external labs. Partner with systems, electrical, and mechanical engineers to resolve nonconformities, drive corrective actions, and continuously improve safety processes.

This role influences technology roadmaps that support a safer, more reliable, low-carbon energy grid worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product safety and regulatory compliance strategy for power and energy technologies
  • Interpret and apply global safety standards (UL, IEC, CE) to new and existing products
  • Plan and execute hazard analyses, risk assessments, and FMEAs
  • Coordinate product testing and certification with third-party labs and authorities
  • Guide design teams on safe architectures, components, and protective measures
  • Drive resolution of safety nonconformities and lead root cause analyses
  • Maintain compliance documentation, safety cases, and technical files
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed safety into development lifecycle
  • Support customer and regulatory audits and respond to safety-related inquiries
  • Continuously improve safety processes, tools, and design standards
