Harris is seeking Systems Integration & Test engineers in Rochester NY to work on a dynamic team to develop EO/IR solutions. They will have SI&T Engineering responsibilities consisting of the development, integration & test of electro-optic systems for airborne and ground surveillance. Candidate will work closely with cross functional members of in engineering, manufacturing, & program management to design, develop & build high performance systems.
Essential Functions:
- Develop system integration concepts & test plan approach
- Ensure system requirements are met and evaluate performance measures
- Perform system and subsystem integration, technical risk assessment, technical planning, verification and validation, and supportability analyses
- Design, develop, and release custom test equipment (HW and SW)
- Coordinate with Operations for production STE/ATE requirements, automation, and user interface
- Develop custom test equipment procedures and instructions
- Manage upgrades to STE for obsolescence / enhancements
- Maintain library of preferred test equipment / components and common architecture standards
- Design Qualification program: plans, procedures, and test equipment
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Skills:
- MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering)
- DOORS, Jama, and Cameo experience
- Software development for test applications (C/C++, Python, Lab View, etc.)
- System modeling using Matlab/Simulink
- Video transport and encoding (H.264, MISB and SMPTE standards)
- Understanding of defense products for the environments and platforms L3
