Harris is seeking a Manager, Electrical Engineering to lead the Product service TE team, Lead the TE Factory support Team, and guide projects in the TE Support organization, at Rochester, NY Jefferson location.
Essential Functions:
• Manage all aspects of a TE group including capacity, Yields, test quality, change requests from a variety of sources.
• Assist international L3
Harris Depots with test solutions.
• Manage multiple Test Engineering teams, updating and maintaining changes to complex RF/analog/digital test and troubleshoot infrastructure.
• Create and implement yearly plans for capital, expense and head count.
• Guide projects across the entire TE Support group, enforcing alignment to Segment Strategic goals.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and conceptualize innovative solutions to drive strategic initiatives with organizational impact such as test time reductions and yield improvements.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems.
• Review test and diagnostic software, design test fixtures, complete test procedures for new and existing products
• Enforce standards of Documentation over test hardware and software.
• Guide and train engineers and technicians to test processes and procedures.
• Experience in Electronics manufacturing systems, production processes technical standards and measurement equipment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional
Skills:
• Experienced Test Engineering professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management. Communicate with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
• Understanding of Harris RF New and Legacy products.
• Experience with Automated Test Systems, LabVIEW preferred. . In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $110,500 - $205,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
