Part-Time - Student Employee (FWS/Budget Eligible) Mail Services Department

Students have the opportunity to complete homework and studies during downtime. We provide the student with a private and personal area in which they can utilize our PC's to complete their student responsibilities.

Mail delivery campus wide. Customer service, sorting of incoming and outgoing mail.

This position may be funded through Federal Work Study (FWS) and/or departmental budgetary funds, depending on eligibility and departmental need. Federal Work Study applicants must be approved by the Financial Aid Office prior to employment consideration. If you are unsure of your FWS eligibility, please contact Financial Aid before applying. Applicants must include their M# in any correspondence with the Financial Aid Office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide front desk customer service; answer phones. Sorting of incoming and outgoing mail, packages with pick and delivery. Must be able to stand for long periods and walk long distances in and around the college campus. Must work well within a team environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled as a student at Monroe Community College
• Must maintain satisfactory academic progress and be in good academic standing
• Federal Work-Study eligibility is required for FWS-funded positions (must be approved by the Financial Aid Office prior to hire)
• Organizational skills
• Basic PC skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Hours per Week: Up to 20 hours/week, between the hours of 11:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This is a part-time position.

Semester Hiring:
Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
