AP Rochester is supporting a growing, scaling business in the construction space looking to bolster their finance team with a newly created Accounting Manager opportunity. This individual will partner closely with the CFO and be placed on a path of long-term progression. Primary objective s include enhancing financial reporting quality and system utilization.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review periodic financial statements for multiple operating companies
- Manage specific aspects of the month-end close process
- Become subject matter expert of the ERP system, assisting with upgrades and process improvements
- Support audits and any external reporting
- Partner with leadership to analyze and explain variances
- Support and mentor junior accounting staff as the team grows
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA a plus)
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience
- Do not need prior supervisory experience - great opportunity for an experienced sole contributor to elevate their career!
- Experience in construction or multi-entity environment required
