Internal Finance - accounts payable and accounts receivable paid internship (path to full time)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team. This internship is designed for a current college student or recent graduate with a strong interest in accounting, finance, and business operations. You will play a key role in supporting our internal finance processes—including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, Quick Books management, and basic forecasting.

This internship is intended to grow into a full-time, salaried position over the course of 24 months, with incremental raises and increased responsibility for those who demonstrate strong performance and initiative.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable tracking and reconciliation
• Maintain and organize financial records in Quick Books
• Generate and issue customer invoices
• Help develop and refine internal accounting policies and procedures
• Support financial forecasting and budgeting efforts
• Collaborate with operations and leadership on cost analysis and reporting
• Provide general administrative support to the finance and management team

Qualifications:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business
  , or related field
• Basic understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting
• Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with spreadsheets
• Strong attention to detail

• Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to learn
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Location:

Rochester NY or Northern VA. Remote is a possibility but the employee must agree to occasional travel to the office for meetings (monthly or less).
