The Vice President of Accounting & Finance is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in the Rochester, New York Metropolitan Area. This role oversees all accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Vice President will lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team, establish and refine internal controls, and support strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis and performance metrics.
Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, partnering with senior leadership on long-term financial planning, managing audits and relationships with external advisors, and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and profitability. The role also involves collaborating across departments to align financial objectives with broader business goals and support sustainable growth.
- Strong accounting foundation, including experience with Accounting principles and Financial Statements.
- Robust finance expertise, covering Finance operations, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and supporting strategic decisions.
- Certified Public Accounting (CPA) credential or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership experience managing accounting and finance teams in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to design and maintain effective internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems and modern financial reporting tools; proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Track record of driving process improvements, supporting strategic initiatives, and contributing to organizational growth.
