Sr Data Analyst, Simon Admissions

Support institutional decision-making by turning admissions and financial data into predictive models, forecasts, and leadership-ready insights.

• Build predictive models to support:
  • Application and enrollment yield
  • Financial aid impact on student decision-making
  • Revenue optimization and discount rate management
• Create short- and long-term enrollment forecasts by:
  • Program
  • Modality
  • Student segment
• Develop revenue projections incorporating:
  • Tuition
  • Scholarships
  • Institutional aid
  • Enrollment scenarios
• Run scenario modeling (best case, expected, worst case) to inform leadership planning and budget development
• Analyze admissions funnel data from inquiry through enrollment to identify:
  • Trends
  • Conversion drivers
  • Growth opportunities
• Develop dashboards and recurring reports for:
  • Application volume
  • Yield
  • Financial aid utilization
  • Net tuition revenue
  • Cohort performance
• Monitor KPIs related to enrollment, discount rate, melt, retention, and revenue
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across CRM, SIS, financial aid, and finance systems
• Analyze scholarship effectiveness and ROI
• Support aid packaging strategy by modeling award elasticity and enrollment outcomes
• Partner with Finance to align enrollment forecasts with institutional budget planning
• Evaluate pricing strategies and program-level profitability
• Translate analytical findings into recommendations for Admissions, Financial Aid, and senior leadership
• Support recruitment strategy by identifying high-value student segments and markets
• Present insights to cross-functional stakeholders using clear visualizations and narratives
• Provide ad hoc analysis for leadership initiatives and special projects
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
• Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling
• Strong experience with SQL and Excel
• Experience building predictive models and forecasts using R, Python, or advanced Excel
• Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and communicate insights clearly
• Knowledge of admissions funnels, financial aid processes, and tuition revenue concepts

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience required
• 2 years of experience in higher education, enrollment management, or finance preferred
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Location: Rochester, NY (onsite)

Salary: USD 64,200 - 96,200 per year
