Job Title: Registered Nurse – CVICU
Location: Rochester General Hospital, 1425 Portland Ave Bldg 3, Rochester, NY 14621
Start Date: September 7, 2025
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $40 to $45 per hour
Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Position OverviewRochester General Hospital, part of the Rochester Regional Health System, is seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse for a 13‑week travel assignment. This position involves providing high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in the CVICU.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform advanced nursing procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EPIC charting system.
- Float to other units as required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU RN experience.
- Active New York State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission).
- EPIC experience required (hard requirement).
- Must live more than 75 miles from the facility.
- Ability to float as needed to other units.
- Background check reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Return staff eligible after 1 year.
- ACLS, BLS, CCRN or other relevant critical care certifications.
Compensation: $45.00 per hour
