• Must-Have: 2 years of Certified Sterile Processing Experience;
  Previous OR or Med Surg experience in a healthcare facility.
• Description:
  
  Monday to Friday, typically 11 AM to 7:30 PM, but may require coming in early or staying late.
• Duties include technical knowledge in preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for the Ambulatory Surgical Center while adhering to principles of sterile techniques.
• Responsible for the proper care and handling of instruments.
• Assists the clinical staff by performing assistive and advocacy services in caring for the patient.
• Follows policies, protocols, techniques, and manufacturer s guidelines when reprocessing, assembling, and maintaining specialized instruments and equipment utilized in the operating room and patient care areas.
• Responsible for properly caring for instruments and equipment, ensuring utilization is in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Initiates and/or participates in quality assurance and continuous quality monitoring, utilizing results to initiate or recommend changes as indicated.
• Documents required information and maintains records for instruments and equipment.
• Undertakes continuous education and training in all areas of sterile processing, including decontamination, cleaning, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and storage processes within all set professional standards and regulations.
• Identifies, picks, distributes supplies and stock items, including equipment requests, and delivers them to appropriate areas.
• Monitors stock levels and assists in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing.
• Responsible for providing biological and chemical test solutions to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
