Nursing Performance Improvement Coordinator
Job Description
The Performance Improvement Coordinator (PIC) is accountable for supporting the quality, safety, regulatory, and performance‑improvement/lean activities within the Department of Nursing. The PIC is involved in activities at the unit, service, nursing department, and institutional levels. The PIC executes initiatives and action plans with guidance from the Director of Nursing and Manager for Nursing Quality and Safety. The PIC collects and analyzes data, develops PI reports, and leads improvement initiatives related to nursing and organizational goals, patient care delivery, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
The PIC oversees PI outcomes and ensures continual progress toward strategic goals and participates in the development of nursing standards, policy, philosophy, goals, and objectives that are congruent with institutional objectives. The PIC serves as a clinical consultant for the documentation system, coordinates the preparation of grants that support nursing department strategic goals, and contributes to goal achievement through personal action and facilitation of others.
The PIC participates in community and professional organizations, demonstrating a commitment to promoting nursing’s visibility and future. The Level IV PIC may assume an expanded departmental role as available and assigned by the Director.
Salary
$85,280 – $
* The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries or hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Job Requirements
- BS in Nursing REQUIRED.
- Professional certification from an approved accrediting agency preferred (or must be earned within 1 year of hire).
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of RN experience in an acute care setting; minimum 2 years of experience in the role specialty preferred.
- AHA BLS Healthcare Provider AED, Infant/Child CPR.
