Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM EST

• Holiday schedule per unit needs

• No on-call responsibilities

• Operate MRI machines efficiently for pediatric patients from neonates through age 18

• Provide age-appropriate care and make patients feel comfortable during scanning procedures

• Maintain clean and safe scanning facility environment

• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to reduce anxiety

• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality

• Adhere to all MRI safety policies and guidelines

• Adjust scanning parameters to accommodate various patient ages

• Properly screen and prepare patients for scanning

• Identify contraindications for safe scanning

• Independently determine when scans must be stopped due to motion and sedation/anesthesia is needed

• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging

• Perform patient care tasks as needed

• Must have 2 years of MRI experience and 6 months of pediatric experience

• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), ARRT

• Must have Siemens scanner experience and Level 1 Trauma Center experience

• NYS Rad Tech License required (willing to consider candidates who obtain prior to start)

• Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology required

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and be familiar with medical terminology
