Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Medical/Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit involves providing nursing care to patients, with a focus on cardiac monitoring and emergency response. The role requires proficiency in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, utilizing rapid response and code teams, and administering medications. The RN will work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend, and must be able to float within their skillset.

Responsibilities:

- Provide nursing care to patients in the MS/Tele unit.
- Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed.
- Administer nasal cannula, oxygen, and manage oxygen tanks.
- Perform non-invasive airway management.
- Initiate and manage IV therapy and phlebotomy, including peripheral line care.
- Adhere to isolation precautions.
- Chart patient information using EPIC.
- Float within skillset as required.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact).
- BLS certification.
- EPIC charting experience.
- MS/Tele experience with cardiac monitoring.
- Experience in emergency response.
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Skills in IV therapy and phlebotomy.

Special Considerations:

- Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed.
- Must submit RTO/Block & Special Scheduling Requests upon submission.
- The client may cancel (call off) up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.
- RN's within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted.
