CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Level 1 Trauma Center
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (2/23/2026 – 5/23/2026)
• Shift: Weekday evenings, 3:00pm – 11:30pm (8-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2560 - $2740
• Employment Type: Travel CT Technologist Contract
• On-Call: Weekends, holidays, and callback as needed

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Active New York State CT Technologist license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• Prior experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center preferred
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• Proficiency with Siemens CT scanners (minimum 6 months)
• EPIC electronic health record experience (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Injection certification preferred (or willingness to complete during orientation)
• Familiarity with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and team-oriented healthcare professional

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and exam orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to provide accurate diagnostic imaging
• Prepare and position patients for CT scans, explaining procedures to ensure comfort and safety
• Insert IVs as needed for imaging procedures
• Assist patients with limited mobility during positioning
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC and ensure images are properly identified and sent to PACS
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in the CT scanning facility
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as required by the hospital
