Licensed Mental Health Professional

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team, providing comprehensive care to street homeless or subway-dwelling individuals in the community.

• Work involves community outreach, coordinating needs before and after housing placement, supporting daily living skills, offering counseling, and advocating against discrimination and healthcare inequities.
• The team adopts a person-centered, harm reduction, non-coercive approach, following the Critical Time Intervention model.
• Position includes fieldwork, periodic on-call duties, and flexible hours, with ongoing support for participants post-housing to ensure stability and independence.
• Requires a master’s degree or higher in social work, mental health, nursing, or psychology; MSW candidates with plans for licensure are acceptable.
• Travel throughout Chenango, Broome, and Otsego counties is expected.
• Full-time role with benefits, salary of $32-$34/hour, and relocation to Norwich, NY required.
