As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, managing appointments, and ensuring the smooth flow of daily operations. Responsibilities- Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere in the clinic.
- Schedule appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits while optimizing the physician's schedule for efficiency.
- Manage a high volume of incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries, scheduling requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and ensure accurate data entry into the electronic health records system.
- Collect and process patient demographic and insurance information during check-in, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Explain and assist patients in completing necessary forms and consent documents.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with medical staff, referring physicians, and internal departments.
- Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage, co-pays, and out-of-pocket expenses.
- Handle patient inquiries about billing, account balances with sensitivity and discretion.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to maintain an organized and efficient patient flow.
- Manage and update patient records, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Address patient concerns and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner, escalating issues as needed.
- Participate in training programs and stay updated on practice policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized reception area.
- Assist in administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and supply inventory management.
