Job Description
Highland Hospital is seeking a Part Time Xray Tech Aid to work Saturday & Sunday from 7:00 am–7:30 pm. The Xray Tech Aide assists with efficient patient flow by supporting the Technologist and RNs.
Responsibilities- Monitor Radiology Information System to maximize patient flow
- Monitor patient schedule
- Answer phone and take messages as appropriate
- Stock linen and supplies as needed and monitor expiration dates (monthly)
- Ensure patient safety and comfort
- Assist with transferring patients on and off the scanning table
- Assist with checking in patients
- Navigate patients throughout continuum of care
- Escort/Transport patients to/from ED, waiting, and procedure areas
- Assist technologist and nurse with preparation and completion of procedures
- Place stretcher in lowest position and maintain safe height during transfer
- Change scanning bed attachments as directed by technologist
- Place socks on patients
Salary Range: $17.70 – $22.92 per hour.
Job RequirementsEducation: High School graduate or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of radiology office experience preferred.
License/Certification: None required.
Skills: Computer skills essential; advanced skills preferred (eRecord).
Employment Status: Part‑Time.
Hours: 7:00 am–7:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday (2–12 shifts).
Location: Rochester, NY.
