Siemens scanner experience, Level 1 Trauma Center experience, 6 months of pediatric experience
Description:
We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team.
Candidates must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology.
Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus.
Ideal candidates know how to operate the MRI machine efficiently.
Candidates must be able to make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure.
Coordination with the patient's physician to ensure timely receipt of results is necessary.
Candidates must be comfortable scanning neonates through age 18 and provide age-appropriate care.
Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods is required.
Duties include maintaining a clean and safe scanning facility.
Candidates will coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
Preparing patients for scans and explaining the procedure to help them feel comfortable is essential.
Inserting IVs when necessary for the test is part of the role, but candidates should note that IV placement is not performed here.
Documentation of all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality is required.
Patient care tasks may be needed as necessary.
Adhering to all MRI safety policies and guidelines is mandatory.
The ability to adjust scanning parameters to accommodate various patient ages is expected.
Candidates will properly screen and prepare the patient for scanning.
Identification of contraindications for safe scanning is required.
Candidates must independently determine when a scan should be stopped due to motion and when sedation/anesthesia is needed.
