Job Summary

Tatiana is a celebrated dining destination at Lincoln Center, led by award‑winning Chef Kwame Onwuachi, known for his Afro‑Caribbean–inspired cuisine infused with New York City influences. As the Event Sales Manager, you’ll play a key role in bringing this culinary vision to life for private dining and special events. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Chef Onwuachi and both the culinary and operations team to design memorable menu experiences while coordinating every element of internal and external events.

Your work will directly support a restaurant recognized among New York City’s best, delivering hospitality that matches the creativity and vibrancy of Tatiana’s dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Chef Kwame Onwuachi and the rest of the team to develop customized menus, proposals, and event concepts that reflect Tatiana’s cultural and culinary identity.
  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning including client discovery, menu design, timelines, logistics, and service execution.
  • Lead event setup, onsite operations, guest flow, and post‑event wrap‑up to ensure a seamless and welcoming experience.
  • Build and nurture client relationships, maintain an organized database, and foster strong vendor partnerships.
  • Draft proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders with clarity and attention to detail.
  • Support team development through coaching, inclusive leadership, and collaboration with operations managers.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting related to event revenue and operations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation procedures, including HACCP compliance.
  • Oversee A/V equipment needs and support basic setup and breakdown for events.
  • Contribute to special projects and cross‑functional initiatives that enhance Tatiana’s private events program.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in catering sales, event management, hospitality operations, or related fields.
  • Comfort collaborating directly with culinary talent, including writing menu proposals and translating client needs for Chef Onwuachi’s team.
  • Strong communication skills across written, verbal, and client‑facing interactions.
  • Ability to stay organized, flexible, and calm in dynamic, fast‑paced settings.
  • Familiarity with event A/V equipment or willingness to learn.
  • A collaborative working style that values creativity, relationship‑building, and service excellence.
  • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Commitment to integrity, inclusion, and high‑quality guest experiences.
