This position is hybrid and remote eligible for up to 40% of the time. The office location is ESL Headquarters in Rochester, NY. Hours are Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.

Pay and Incentive PlanStarting Salary: $102,000. Salary Range: $90,108 – $113,596. An annual performance‑based incentive rewards eligible employees.
Purpose of PositionDevelop, design, analyze, and administer company compensation programs to ensure competitiveness, equity, compliance, efficiency, and alignment with the total rewards strategy, including management of UKG HRIS applications and Payscale/Payfactors.
Accountabilities- Develops and administers all aspects of the Performance Plan and Performance Appraisal process for all employees and managers.
- Develops and administers all aspects of the Merit and EIP process (online tool, Merit and EIP budget, all manager and employee communication).
- Develops training materials and facilitates training sessions.
- Manages ongoing vendor relationships and facilitates with internal IT support.
- Analyzes organization pay practices and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes.
- Surveys industry trends, completes compensation surveys, reviews information obtained from the results, forecasts trends to recommend future program designs, and develops recommendations for review by management.
- Help administer incentive plan process.
- Evaluate job descriptions to determine appropriate classifications and salary levels.
- Ensure current and new positions are market competitive through analysis and benchmarking.
- Assist in the development of communication tools and training materials to enhance manager and employee understanding of the compensation structure and programs.
- Assist Benefits team with analysis, surveys, and any other data needs.
Back up payroll functions as needed.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Human Resources or 4 years of equivalent directly related experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with extensive data analysis, database management and reporting required.
- Minimum 5 years of directly related experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills required.
- Effective communication, planning, organization and presentation skills required.
- Ability to handle/secure confidential information of the most sensitive nature.
- Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations for compensation programs.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
