Position Summary

Responsibilities include the successful deployment of a comprehensive US HR strategy that supports the growth and profitability of the organization. As a member of the leadership staff, you play a key role in identifying and implementing effective strategies regarding human resource issues focusing on continuous improvement opportunities at our US locations.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Ownership (and facilitation) of the Talent Management Process (US), associated metrics (The Talent Management Index – TMI) and Talent Management Reviews. This includes assessment of talent, acquisition of talent, development of talent and retention of talent.
  • With local HR support, evaluates and improves the compensation system structures and processes at Gleason US locations.
  • Provides oversight to US benefit programs under the immediate direction of our benefits team.
  • One of the key sponsors and owners of the HCM Ceridian Dayforce (US only). Promotes the common use and features to automate information flow and transactions optimizing utilization.
  • Develops and implements short‑ and long‑term human resource programs and initiatives that are aligned with corporate strategies supporting all US operations.
  • Provides mentoring and counseling to members of the US management team and high‑potential employees to enhance the effectiveness of the organization.
  • Learns and supports key employee development initiatives including the leadership development program and Gleason Business Principles (GBP) training. Facilitates GBP training at all US locations and sponsors New Employee Orientation discussions around them.
  • Strategic focus with an ability to drive execution of goals and deliverables.
  • Will be required to travel (domestically) approximately 10–15% of the time.
  • Experience with managing compensation systems and benefits plans.
  • Knowledge of US federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project and process management skills, along with financial and analytical acumen.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including the professional maturity and confidence to work effectively with senior executives.
  • Tactful, diplomatic, collaborative with internal customers and service providers.

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, or other business related fields.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in human resources (or field requiring many of the required competencies).
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferable.
