Job Overview
Highland Hospital is seeking an Employee Relations Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Sr. Human Resources & Business Partner Manager, the Employee Relations Manager will support Highland Human Resources with employee relations matters, investigations, employee engagement and much more. The role has been designed with a growth‑minded career ladder allowing for regular growth in the position.
Key Responsibilities- Serves as the primary associate to the Human Resources Business Partner(s) in assigned business unit(s). Provides counsel to employees and managers in the areas of policy, procedures, corrective discipline, and dispute resolution.
- Devises methods for gathering information, and analyzing, interpreting and reporting data.
- Formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value‑added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
- Maintains business literacy as it relates to the financial position, culture, business objectives, and goals of designated business unit(s).
- Assists employees in the consistent interpretation and application of Human Resources policies, procedures, regulations, and programs by demonstrating and applying thorough knowledge base of each.
- Advises management on application of corrective disciplinary actions, organization policies, procedures, and regulations and other compliance‑related issues.
- Assists with writing written warnings and counsels managers on best practices.
- In collaboration with the HR Business Partners, investigates reports of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation; creates the internal investigative file, interviews applicable parties, and drafts the investigative report.
- Keeps abreast of Hospital policies and procedures, changes in federal and state laws, and developments in the human resources profession.
- Works collaboratively with HR Business Partners and operational partners to establish and promote positive employee engagement in organizational objectives and goals.
- Utilizes employee engagement survey results to analyze and identify areas for improvement and make recommendations aimed at increasing positive employee relations.
- Ensures compliance with various HR policies, laws, standards, and government regulations for all assigned personnel.
- Collaborates with organizational leadership and peers for effective HR problem‑solving, conducting follow‑up calls, visits, and meetings to check for positive progress.
$60,400.00 - $84,611.00 annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

2-3 years in Human Resources; previous experience in employee relations or HR Generalist. - License/Certification: N/A

Experience in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills; superior interpersonal skills; engaging instruction style; collaborative teamwork approach; process‑oriented with significant attention to detail. Experience in a health care setting a plus but not required.
