This position is hybrid and remote eligible for up to 40% of the time. The office location for this position is at ESL Corporate Headquarters in Rochester, NY. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. with additional hours to support programs. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.

Pay and Incentive Plan:Starting salary: $114074.90

Purpose of Position:
The Application Portfolio Manager strategically oversees a company's software applications by maintaining an inventory, assessing their business value and technical health, and deciding whether to maintain, upgrade, replace, or retire them. This role aims to align the application portfolio with business objectives, improve performance, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
Principle Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Application Lifecycle Management
- Compile and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all software applications, documenting their costs, performance, and technical health
- Ensure the application portfolio supports and aligns with the organization's overall business and strategic goals
- Analyze the portfolio to identify redundancies, duplicate applications, and underused or obsolete software to eliminate waste and consolidate where possible.
- Manage the lifecycle of applications, making decisions on whether to maintain, upgrade, replace, or retire them based on value and strategy.
- Work closely with stakeholders across different departments, including IT, finance, business units, enterprise architecture, and procurement, to gather information and ensure alignment.
- Work hand in hand with Business Architecture to ensure that portfolio provides a full picture of the application lifecycle
Align Work to Portfolio
- Facilitate the intake, prioritization, and readiness of new application initiatives and requests
- Develop and maintain roadmaps for the application portfolio, tracking future forecasts and commitments.
- Analyze costs and identify risks associated with the application portfolio to optimize investments and improve the technology stack
- Align work to the technology target state as defined by the Enterprise Architecture team
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of combined time spent doing analysis of process/systems or planning/managing implementations.
- 2+ year of experience generating documentation.
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Clear communication both to business and IT stakeholders
- Excellent presentation skills tailored to the audience with demonstrated ability to distill abstract and complex information into a simple-to-understand delivery

- Degree in Information Systems or technology related field preferred
- 3 years working on analysis of technology related systems or planning implementation of technology systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage communication and expectations of technical and business teams such as
