KPMG is currently seeking a Director of Technology Experience (UX/UI) to join our Talent & Culture team.
Responsibilities- Partner with leaders and workstream owners to shape end-to-end employee and practitioner experiences across key strategic initiatives, ensuring UX is embedded from discovery through launch
- Design high-quality digital experiences across Talent & Culture technology products, including user flows, interfaces, and AI-enabled interactions that are clear, consistent, and easy to adopt
- Map current-state and future-state user journeys; create user flows that simplify complex processes, clarify decisions, and reduce friction across key moments in the employee experience; own the design workflow in Figma (and comparable tools), producing wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes that communicate intent and accelerate delivery
- Establish reusable interaction patterns, UI standards, and content conventions to ensure consistent experience across products and releases; build and maintain reusable components and templates to improve speed, consistency, and quality across teams
- Benchmark experiences against comparable tools and best practices to identify gaps, propose enhancements, and continuously raise usability and design quality
- Conduct interviews, usability testing, and feedback loops to validate designs; synthesize insights into clear recommendations and iterate quickly
- Minimum seven years of recent experience in UX/UI design, product design, or experience design; minimum two years of recent experience leading work streams or mentoring designers in an enterprise environment
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university within design, HCI, psychology, or a related field
- Experience planning and conducting user research and usability testing, translating insights into iterative improvements; experience establishing and maintaining reusable patterns, components, and UX/UI standards to drive consistency at scale
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (and comparable design/prototyping tools), including component libraries, design systems, and interactive prototyping
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end experience design (journeys, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, prototypes) and measurable impact (adoption, reduced effort, improved usability)
- Proven ability to partner with product and engineering teams to deliver build-ready designs (specs, annotations, acceptance criteria) and support UAT/release readiness
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment

California Salary Range: $155,000 - $311,000
