Storage and Backup Admin || onsite Rochester, NY || 12+ Months Contract

Rate:

-$60-62.5/hr W2 for Lead Admin

$50-52.5/hr W2 for Admin

Qualifications:

• Knowledge in hardware platforms, including:
• IBM SVC
• IBM, NETAPP, and EMC Storage Arrays
• EMC Data Domain
• Familiarity with systems management platforms, including:
• Commvault Backup
• HP Arc Sight
• DR Orchestrator
• Proven experience in leading teams and delivering these types of activities for at least 5 years (7+ years preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting skills in storage and backup issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools.
• Proven leadership abilities with a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the key contact for storage and backup-related matters.
• Lead a team of 2 to 3 storage and backup administrators.
• Review technical infrastructure design for storage and backup systems, assessing and proposing improvements.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts in the storage and backup area.
• Perform technical assessments/reviews between different infrastructure options as part of platform upgrade and refresh activities.
• Provide incident analysis and resolution when required.
• Assist in the preparation of technical infrastructure standards, including build and configuration standards.
